What

A research project
We are using human centered design and studying what will the future workplace look like. The physical elements, the space and the community.

Co-working space
A workplace that materializes collaborative, interdisciplinary and creative work.

Flexible
A space that adapts to the needs of the users and is co-created by the community.

An experiment

How can co-working spaces help speed up the process of collaborative and interdisciplinary work?

What is the relation between working spaces and collaboration processes?

How do spaces affect productivity?

How

We move things around, we engage users into the process, we ask questions, we observe and iterate.

Method
User centered design

Tools
-Observations
-Surveys
-Thermal cameras
-Sensors

Why

Interdisciplinary work
There is an increasing shared need to work beyond a single field and collaborate with others.

Complexity
Complex problems demand different perspectives, approaches and methods to be solved.

Innovation
We have bigger chances to create something bigger than the parts, that changes what it is already known, if physical spaces help us to exchange information and work together across disciplines.

We have to catch up
The way learn, create, collaborate and access information online can help us design a workplace that is in between the online and physical.
