Understand how the camp works and explore different resources available, both within the Hive and The Camp.

GETTING TO KNOW EACH OTHER



1. Personal

We got to spend a lot of time together to learn about each other’s values, driving forces, influences and general purpose in life. We’ve got to develop a context for each participant, to actually understand their work better. Where we come from, what are our motivations and expectations about the hive and values that guide our life.




We were given mostly set up of spaces and little guidance.

We went hiking together.




2. Professional

We got to work together in different teams.

We were introduced to 3 projects in the field of urban development.













URBAN DEVELOPMENT





  • AirBel

70s low-income housing. Some architects working with very basic urban regeneration, interventions. No data.




  • Coco Velten

Community project. Homeless shelter for 80 people, open kitchen. Swap shop, circular economy. At a very old building in the center of the city.

I worked on developing an open kitchen system that is open for the community.

  • ICIMarseille

Massive industrial maker space run but ex marine in some collaboration with the camp and the municipality. They rent out containers and share workshop spaces. Metal and wood work.
